We participated in the first annual YO 2012 (Yard Olympics). It was a lot of fun!
All day events filled with friends, laughter, and booze!

TGIF

Yeah it's Friday! Who doesn't love Friday!?!??!
Well I personally love Fridays. I don't have classes on Friday and I usually catch up on all of my errands. So that is what I did today. I had a fun filled day of going to Target, Michael's, T.J. Maxx, the Gap, and Gordman's! After Joel got home, we (plus my friend Taylor) went to Costco and to Happy Hour then out to dinner. Oh and we hit up Target one more time!
Not an eventful Friday but still fun. And I was dressed well so that always makes everything more fun!
Here is my fun Friday outfit...

Disclaimer: This is a work in progress and Joel and my first photo shoot. It will get better with time, promise!

So how was everyone else's Friday?

Wish list Wednesday

There are always a few items I have my eyes on. These are usually things I want to add to my wardrobe without breaking the bank. But sometimes there are just things I put on my wish list because I want them and cannot justify a reason to buy said item!
Right now I am trying to resist shopping until August! This is really tough for me but I feel like I have been speeding money like crazy and need to settle down.
So without further ado here is my wish list...

1. Floral pants (I have been on the hunt for these for the last couple of months. Being a frugal shopper, I am not going to pay $50+ on them. But I do love this pair from ASOS. I am also NOT petite so these wouldn't work. But I love the pattern they have.)

2. Coral full skirt (I have had my eye on this one for a while but I just can't pull the trigger and buy it!)

3. A Floral Bustier to wear with high skirts. This one is so beautiful! (But not for $60!)

4. Boyfriend Jeans (I would like them distressed a little but not too much. However, I also love these!)

6. Marshmallows (When I was little, my sister used to get Lucky Charms. I always ate all the marshmallows out of the box! This eliminates the need for the cereal part!)

7. Colorful purse (There are a lot out there that I love. But you get the idea!)

8. A Floral Blazer (Floral is really in this season. And I love this floral blazer but of course I would never NEVER pay almost $400 for anything really, besides maybe a wedding dress! But needless to say, I love this print and the fit of this blazer. If I had the money, I would buy this!)

9. Black Stripe Shirt (I know I can find this basic piece somewhere else. However, it was very difficult to find the item online. I think I am going to scout out the GAP outlet!)
That is all for this week. I will have 10 new items next Wednesday!
I am always on the lookout for the best deals. If you come across any, let me know!!!

Getting in shape!

I have been sick the last few weeks and haven't been working out. It has really been taking a toll on my well being. I haven't been sleeping well and just feel like I am dragging!
So today I started doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred
I have tried to do this so many times before but fall short of following through. I love this workout though because you get an overall tone in only 20 minutes a day! There really is no excuse. However, I always find one. :(
Hopefully I can keep up with it and get back to feeling better. I hope to post some outfits soon... As well as a finished renewed tank product!
Stay tuned!!!

Turning old into new!

I really love this tank with all the sequins. However, it's a little out of my price range. Usually you can't find sequins tops under $100! And I cannot personally justify spending that much on one shirt. So instead I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a few bags of sequins. And I found an old tank (don't know how long it has been in there) in my closet (from Old Navy) that I figured I could revamp!
This project just started last night and I suspect its going to take me quite awhile to get it completed. But I will keep you updated as I go along!

My materials...
1 loose fitting tank (white/off white or any color you want)
2 bags of cream colored sequins (you could change the color if you wanted. And I might need more as I start going along)
1 sewing needle
Thread that matches your sequins

Wish me luck! Updated pictures to come soon!

Branson

The wedding was in Springfield, Missouri which is a short trip to Branson (i.e.. the poor person's Vegas). So of course we had to go!!! If you have never been to Branson, which is probably most people, there are go-karts, mini golf, OUTLET MALLS!!!, and old time photos! All fun times!
So the day we went it was about 100 degrees outside. That ruled out mini golfing! Too hot! My friend Lindsay and I had no desire to go on the go-karts. So instead, we went shopping! We found so many good deals at the outlet mall there.
Here is a picture of our bags...
In one of those bags is my best find... A $3 sweater from the Loft!!! I couldn't pass it up.
Also found some great finds at Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, the Loft.
Here is our crew at Branson landing.

I kept it simple with my outfit. I didn't want tan lines from straps... And I felt this was very Branson like!
