Turning old into new!

I really love this tank with all the sequins. However, it's a little out of my price range. Usually you can't find sequins tops under $100! And I cannot personally justify spending that much on one shirt. So instead I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a few bags of sequins. And I found an old tank (don't know how long it has been in there) in my closet (from Old Navy) that I figured I could revamp!
This project just started last night and I suspect its going to take me quite awhile to get it completed. But I will keep you updated as I go along!

My materials...
1 loose fitting tank (white/off white or any color you want)
2 bags of cream colored sequins (you could change the color if you wanted. And I might need more as I start going along)
1 sewing needle
Thread that matches your sequins

Wish me luck! Updated pictures to come soon!

Branson

The wedding was in Springfield, Missouri which is a short trip to Branson (i.e.. the poor person's Vegas). So of course we had to go!!! If you have never been to Branson, which is probably most people, there are go-karts, mini golf, OUTLET MALLS!!!, and old time photos! All fun times!
So the day we went it was about 100 degrees outside. That ruled out mini golfing! Too hot! My friend Lindsay and I had no desire to go on the go-karts. So instead, we went shopping! We found so many good deals at the outlet mall there.
Here is a picture of our bags...
In one of those bags is my best find... A $3 sweater from the Loft!!! I couldn't pass it up.
Also found some great finds at Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, the Loft.
Here is our crew at Branson landing.

I kept it simple with my outfit. I didn't want tan lines from straps... And I felt this was very Branson like!

Nail obsession

I have been completely obsessed with painting my nails lately. I went through a shellac phase for awhile but since I am on a budget, and would rather see my money hanging in my closet than on my nails, I have reduced going to the salon!
Of course I am crazy about pinterest... And there are so many amazing nail ideas on there. Unfortunately I am not that creative. A few weeks ago my niece was in town and we tried out the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. I chose Mad for Plaid (because I am!) and my niece got Spring Fever (there is a picture below). I really liked the Salon Effects. They stayed on for quite awhile (like 12 days!!!) and I got tons of compliments! I have a couple more sitting in my bathroom waiting to be applied.

But yesterday I decided to try something different. I have seen a lot of girls with french manicures but updated. So I tried it out. I used China Glaze-Sunset Sail as my base coat. And then did a bright pink (Sally Hansen-Fuchsia Power) as the tip!
I love how they turned out!!!
What do you think?!?!?!
