A little bit about myself...

I live in a suburb of Kansas City with my fiance (we got engaged on December 19th, 2012), Joel, and our two dogs (Kimber is a 5 lb 4 year old Pomeranian & Franklin is a 60 lb 1 year old English Bulldog). Franklin was Joel's Christmas present this year from myself and my parents! Our dogs are our babies and we treat them as such.

I am a graduate student at University of Missouri Kansas City studying school counseling. I am hoping to begin my career as a middle school counselor sometime in the next year.
While I am in school I work part time as a substitute teacher (mostly middle school and high school) and as a data collector for a research project at UMKC.
I started this blog to share my interests and passions with the world. These include cooking, baking (specifically cupcakes!), doing crafty things (I love to crochet), and fashion.
I love to cook and bake! I am hoping to start a small cupcake business. However, I recently learned I am gluten intolerant. :( So I cannot eat those sweet treats I make! But my plan is to start experimenting with gluten free products. We will see how that goes!!!
I love fashion and shopping but I am on a shoe string budget (bc I am again a college student). My goal is to share my fashion tips with others who may not have a lot of extra money to spend! I have found looking a different blogs that girls writing fashion blogs seem to have a lot of money to spend on new items. Even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping, I do not have the extra money to go spend all the time. You will see that most of my closet comes from H&M, Forever 21, Target, and TJ Maxx/marshalls. Oh and outlets. I LOVE outlet malls!!!
In addition to shopping sales, I am also trying to create more pieces for myself. Joel gave me a sewing machine last year for my birthday. One of my goals is to use it to create items for my closet that I would not be able to purchase. So stay tuned to see what I create!
